Lab Automation

Laboratory automation is a multi-disciplinary strategy to research, develop, optimize and capitalize on technologies in the laboratory that enable new and improved processes. Laboratory automation professionals are academic, commercial and government researchers, scientists and engineers who conduct research and develop new technologies to increase productivity, elevate experimental data quality, reduce lab process cycle times, or enableexperimentation that otherwise would be impossible.

Key components in many automation applications involve control and motion solutions.   My background covers the concept design and product plans involving the best of class products from around the world.

  1.  Stepper Motors
  2. BLDC Brushless closed loop servo motors
  3. Low power high efficiency controllers for cell biology applications
  4. Linear motors and linear conveyors such as Magnemotion products/ Rockwell
  5. Integration of motion with custom design actuators
  6. Interface between a network of liquid dispensing robots for HTS labs
  7. Custom machine design build of medical device manufacturing
  8. High Precision Sensor technologies combined with closed loop control
  9. Integrated smart motor technologies
  10. Machine learning applications combined with real time fault prediction
